This cut out recipe is my most popular and classic flavor for creating my decorated sugar cookies. The cookie is soft, not crumbly, and will stay fresh for up to two weeks if kept in a sealed container or bag. The dough may be kept wrapped in the refrigerator for a week and for 3 months in the freezer.  Baked cookies, iced or uniced, can also be frozen for up to 6 months when properly stored in a sealed bag and container.
