How do I place an order?

1. Submit an order request form, 
 • Please don't submit an order request just to ask questions. 
 • This form is not considered placing an order.  It is simply a request and the beginning of the conversation about your event and needs for your event.
 • The form will itemize all the necessary details needed to determine if there is availability on the calendar for your specifications.
 • Once you hit submit, I will receive an email with your form answers, and I will reply to you via the email provided.
* Please ensure accuracy of the information submitted, especially the email address.  
 • I aim to reply to you within a few minutes to hours, but no more than 24 hours. 
* If you submit a request on the weekend however, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the reply may be delayed as these are busy order completion, pick up and family days, so please be aware of this and allow the extended response times on the weekends.

NOTE: The only time an order request is not required is for a PRE-sale for holidays and common celebration dates, such as the start of school and graduation or nurse and teacher appreciation days.  These specials will be listed on the home page and may be notified to page subscribers via email.

 • The link is created based on your form responses.
**If you decide on something different, flavor or quantity or designs, you'll need to discuss with me prior to paying as the changes may have a different price than the ones you originally requested. 
In addition, I may not have time for an order if you significantly change your quantity or design complexity.
 • The link is only guaranteed for 24 hours

All items are kept out of stock to prevent orders being placed without discussing with me and confirming calendar availability.

What payment types do you accept?

PAYMENT 
 • All orders are placed on the website and we accept all forms of credit/debit cards. 
 • We also accept PayPal and is automated through the site. 
 • I no longer accept Venmo
 • I do not accept cash or checks at the time of pick up.
 •  All orders must be paid prior to it being accepted and placed on my calendar.

TIPPING
 • Tipping is not required or necessary but always appreciated and can be added at check out.
 • If you want to leave a tip after picking up your order, you are welcome to leave it in an envelope under the front mat and send me an email letting me know it is there, so it's not missed. 
If you'd like to tip via PayPal, you can do that, but please choose the friends and family option.

Question 3

Why is my item is showing out of stock?

Accepted Answer

Due to the nature of the products, small batch, homemade, custom cookies, I do not carry stock on hand and therefore keep all product listings marked as out of stock.

This is done also because I must confirm if I have availability for your order specifics and date on my calendar.  If you were to order without talking to me and I am fully booked, I will have to issue you a refund.

Question 4

Can I order without filling out a request you?

No.  
 • As a small home bakery, I can take limited orders per week. 
 • It's critical that you submit an order request to be sure that I have your pick up date available.  
 • If you order without talking to me and I don't have your date available, I will have to issue you a refund.

Question 5

Is there a minimum quantity you have to order?

• Yes.  TWO (2) dozen is the minimum order

Question 6

How do I pick up my order ?

As a home based cottage baker, all orders are picked up at my home in Thornton, Colorado, near 136th and Quebec. 
 • The exact address will be given after payment is made and order finalized. ​
 • Once at the address, there will be a pick up stand out on the front porch where all orders are placed, either in boxes or bags and will have your name on them.  
 • There is no reason to knock or ring the bell to notify us you are there, you can just get your package and head out.
 • The same process is provided if you choose to have the cookies delivered and picked up at the Arvada location.

Question 7

How do I confirm you received my order?

Accepted Answer

• A confirmation email will be sent to the email you provided on the order.
 • Please ensure you use the same email on the actual order as you have on the order request, and that you have typed it correctly.
 •  Make sure you have added my email to your contacts as well, so it does not go to junk or spam.  The email it will come from is info@thecookiedarling.com (mailto:info@thecookiedarling.com)or thecookiedarling@gmail.com.(mailto:thecookiedarling@gmail.com)

• The confirmation email of your order should arrive within minutes after paying for your order.
If you do not receive one, either it is in your spam/junk folder or it may indicate that your order/payment did NOT go through.
 • If you do NOT receive a confirmation email, then I also did NOT receive your order.  It is up to you to follow up and confirm with me if you haven't heard back from me after you order.

IMPORTANT: Your order is not an order or placed on the calendar until payment is received. A conversation with me is also not considered an order until I have received your payment.

Confirmation email = an order
No confirmation email = the order was not placed, will not be put on the calendar and will not be fulfilled.

Question 8

Do you ship?

• As a cottage law, home bakery, I cannot ship cookies outside of Colorado. 
 • If you have a friend/family in Colorado, they can pick up the cookies for you and then ship directly them to you.
 • All orders are pick up only at my home in Thornton.  The exact address will be given after I receive your paid order.  
 • I have an Arvada location pick up available for a $20 delivery fee.

Question 9

How many designs come in a set?

Accepted Answer

• Typically we offer 4 different designs for a dozen.  
This does not multiply per dozen, however.  
If you order 2 - 4 dozen, or more, we may be able to offer 6 - 8 design for the full quantity if necessary. 
Most often, 6 is the maximum number of designs done per set.

• If you are requesting a larger quantity of designs for a single set, this will fall under highly detailed and the price increased accordingly. 
An example of an order like this is a book club that wants one book per month for a whole year, so 12 designs.

• We offer an option for a single design, which is called Party Favors. 
We call it this because, for a child's party for example, often kids are given a party favor as they leave. If each child receives a different design, that can cause disappointment and tears or arguments, so providing a single design removes that as wedding or reception gift.

Question 10

Do you deliver?

• I am currently offering delivery to my Arvada location only. 
The cross streets are 84th & Simms.
 • There is a $20 delivery fee for Arvada pick up location.
	   If your assigned artist is Amy, the delivery fee to Arvada will be waived.
	   Directions on how to do this will be given prior to checking out
 • Delivery to your home or other location is not available.
 • All addresses are given after payment and order is received.

Question 11

How far in advance do I need to order?

Accepted Answer

• As soon as possible.
 • Even 6 months to a year is recommended for those events you know are coming up, such as graduations and birthdays.
 • My calendar is typically booked 3 months out, especially close to major holidays.
 • Due to the demand during national holidays, or common celebrations like end of school and graduations in May, I may cut off availability for custom orders a month or two in advance.

Question 12

Can you take a last minute order?

Accepted Answer

• No.
	Designing an order and fitting it into an already full schedule is extremely difficult and time    
           intensive with multiple nights of no sleep to accommodate such orders.

• 1 week notice is not possible and cannot be accepted.
 • 2 weeks prior notice is the minimum notice required to place an order without a rush fee.

IF I agree to this short notice, you will be charged a rush fee and invoiced to the email address you provided after ordering.
With that said, however, you can submit an order request even if the schedule is showing booked to see if I have had a cancellation and might be able to fit you in.
